The Internal X™ support system is
what makes our mei tai so supportive!

The top straps run completely through the body of the carrier from the upper corners, and connect with the continuous waist strap in the bottom corners. In effect, this allows you to pull your child closer to your torso, and prevents the fabric behind baby from stretching or bagging out over time.

The Internal X™ is stitched to a 3rd layer of fabric on the inside of the carrier, and reinforced in 5 places - it is durable and strong! 

Paired with our convertible hood, which makes our carriers up to 30" tall, our mei tais have been known to carry children from newborn all the way through toddlerhood, and then continue to serve as a great emergency carrier for tired 4- and 5-year-olds!

 The hood can be kept open and folded down when not in use, or, it can be tucked into the hood pocket.  When wearing a newborn in the M.O.M. Tai, the stored hood makes an excellent head/neck support.
